67 persons killed during the summer 2007 Greek fires, 9 firemen and 58 civilians. Hundred homes, other types buildings, even whole villages destroyed or suffered serious damages and thousands acres of forest, agricultural (thousands old olive trees and vines) and other land types burned.

The Greek land force that was used at the fires constituted from 7.130 firemen, 3.000 soldiers from the Greek Army, 200 volunteers firemen, and hundreds volunteers, active civilians and voluntary teams. Also used 930 fire trucks, 1 special tracklaying vehicle and hundreds of water transporters, excavation machines and others.

The Greek Air Force constituted from 21 aircrafts Canadair, 21 aircrafts PZL and GRUMMAN, 2 Helicopters SUPER PUMA, 3 Fire Fighter Helicopters BK-117, 19 rented helicopters and 1 aircraft Βe-200.
